Solomon's sin (1 Kings 11:1-3) and Rehoboam's lack of wisdom (verse 11) resulted in the division of the Kingdom. |
| WEDNESDAY
1 Kings 17 |
Elijah was sent by God to try to turn Israel back to Him. Miracles were performed by Elijah, showing he was from God (verse 24). |

The worship of idols introduced by Solomon and then by Jeroboam (1 Kings 12:28-30) was temporarily halted by Elijah's prayer (verse 36) and action (verse 40). |
