By his birth, Jesus was the son of Mary and shared our human nature. He is also the Son of God and the centre of God's Plan in creation. The gospels underline these two facts. Read the following verses from Matthew which demonstrate this wonderful truth. (Matthew 1:1, 18, 23; 3:16-17; 16:16; 22:41-45; 26:63; 27:40, 43, 54).
God's Son was born of woman that he might be Redeemer of mankind. God is his Father. The Father's love for us was to be made known in Jesus.
Jesus lived like the Son of God by doing his Father's will in our frail and wayward nature.
